"Watershed on Peachtree is an award-winning restaurant, located in the heart of Buckhead’s historic Brookwood Hills neighborhood. An industry pioneer in the farm-to-table movement, Watershed continues to showcase its roots in soulful Southern cuisine, while also introducing modern, ingredient-driven techniques. This concept of reverence meets innovation is driven by new executive chef and owner Matt Marcus and his passion for cooking in the moment and redefining “New South” cuisine. An Atlanta native who has always had a love for the neighborhood staple, Marcus introduces a fully reimagined menu, nodding to the seasonal, Southern roots of the beloved restaurant – but with an evolutionary, whimsical twist.
Since opening in 1999 and earning a James Beard Award in the process, previous owners Emily Saliers of the Grammy award-winning folk rock group, Indigo Girls and Ross Jones moved the restaurant from Decatur to its current Brookwood Hills location in May 2012. With a long history of talent in the kitchen, Marcus will continue to push Watershed’s menu to new culinary heights as its new executive chef and owner. While most elements will change, a few beloved traditions will stay the same, and we invite you to join our evolutionary journey."
