The Allis is named after the family that commissioned the building in 1907. It offers all-day dining, serving egg dishes and house-made pastries for breakfast, sandwiches and salads for lunch, and light bites and wood-oven entrees for dinner. This is my second time at The Allis. This time I came for their afternoon tea. The food was really great, super fresh, but I think the main selling point of this place is the ambiance. The place is super chill will very calm and comfortable furniture and decor. This was a great place to catch with a good friend over a pot of tea and a tower of savory sandwiches and sweet pastries. Their cherry jam to go with the scone was to die for. I ended up putting that jam on the cucumber bread, because it was so good. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to hang out over some really great food. The waiters let you sit as long as you want. In fact there were people who were working and studying there. Excellent place! I would definitely check it out if I were you!
I went for lunch and got the "pick 2" (which was a great deal- only $14!). The halloumi and cauliflower pita was awesome. Would love to go back in the future for coffee or cocktails.
It was a perfect choice for a drink and dinner afterwork to catch up with a friend! Great cocktail menu and wine list. Unique menu but not too far out there. Seating is a mix of
casual in big comfy chairs but there are some standard dine tables if you prefer. The staff is very friendly and overall good vibes-Would definitely go back!
