"Sportello’s casual, lively, Italian spirit is captured in the sleek, minimalist design of the cuisine — fresh pastas, creamy polenta, and simple soups — and in the supremely approachable, artisanal wine list created by wine director Cat Silirie."

Great service. We love the cafeteria seating here -- it feels cozy. Wine list is excellent. We started with prosciutto, soppressata, pickled peppers, and olives ~ it was quite the spread! Main courses came out hot, tomatoes in our pasta melted in your mouth, and the pasta was clearly fresh and handmade.
The vibe is different, but fun. You sit at a low counter which makes it a more personal experience with your server. Get the Gnocchi with lobster. It's to die for. We also got the Heirloom Tomato salad with barratta cheese. It was also phenomenal.
Came here for the first time yesterday with my wife. I had the lobster gnocchi and she ordered the ramp tortellini, and we also tried the broccolini. The food was fantastic but what really elevated the experience was the service! Our server, Ethan, was incredibly knowledgable about the food and gave great recommendations for wine selections to go with our meal. He tried to guide us towards his dessert of choice, the brioche col tuppo (bread pudding with rhubarb and vanilla bean) but when we instead opted for the chocolate hazelnut tart with olive oil, he brought us both and comped them! We had a great conversation about the qualities of each dessert and which we preferred (in the end, we agreed with him that the brioche dish was superior because it was lighter and better executed than the tart). He was phenomenal and truly made our dining experience great. We will definitely be back!
