If you're in the mood for some fresh and high-quality seafood Pinefish is the place to go. The retro interior is also worth seeing. They have a huge selection of small plates, so it's the ideal spot for a dinner with friends. If you're really looking to impress, it was also named one of the most romantic spots to eat in Philly.

We went for restaurant week and thought the food was subpar. The lobster bisque was okay, the fried cauliflower was doused in vinegar, the salmon and the short rib lacked flavor (although the short rib was very tender, at least). The dessert was comically small. We each got a piece of cake which was about the size of an index card, but was maybe an 1/8 inch thick. It tasted good, but for what we paid for restaurant week, we were expecting more.
Succulent Scallops, cauliflower and seafood was very fresh on tasting portions. "End of the rainbow" cocktail leaves more to be desired. Attentive and friendly service/staff.
We got the short rib with mashed potatoes, the miso cod, clams casino, and the garlic shrimp. Everything was served fresh and full of flavor. Seriously so tasty. Service was also awesome- our server made good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. She offered us bread for our garlic shrimp and was super attentive. Ambiance at Pinefish is awesome- the decor is funky and the place was full.
