One of the greatest meals I have had in a long while. I made a point of going to each restaurant on Philadelphia Magazine's 50 Best Restaurants List, and Perla was certainly a standout that deserves a higher ranking. Warm, friendly service within a cozy atmosphere, Perla is a quintessential Philly BYOB. But the food is what blew my mind the most. The octopus here is the best in the city. The delicate head-on prawns burst with flavor. The sisig was arguably the best organ-meat dish I have ever had, full of unique flavors in each but all tied together with a fried egg. The ube dessert was a perfect end to the meal, having a perfect level of sweetness - no overpowering flavor of sugar. I greatly look forward to my next visit, and cannot wait to try their Wednesday and Sunday family dinners.
