Friend of a Farmer
New York City
American, Farm to Table, Breakfast & Brunch
77 Irving Pl # 1, New York, NY 10003
"Since 1986 Friend of a Farmer has been a pioneer in the farm-to-table movement. We’ve created a reputation for seasonally fresh and local ingredients within an atmosphere unlike anything else in New York City.
To provide our guests with a warm familiar feeling found only in the countryside, we’ve carefully crafted and hand built all of the wooden columns, ceilings, floors, and fireplaces.
Our specialty cocktails and homemade juices are all pressed at the farm. The seasonal ingredients, homemade syrups, infused liquors and balanced
pours blend beautifully to create a unique and delicious finish.
Our wines are carefully selected and primarily focused around the boutique, family owned vineyards, many of which are sustainable and bio-dynamic.
Thirty years later and Friend of a Farmer still remains a family owned and operated business that has stayed true to its roots and concept.
We look forward to seeing you for breakfast, brunch, lunch, supper, dessert, and happy hour."

This restaurant is amazing! My friend and I ordered the boomer special and the porridge(for breakfast). The food was aesthetically pleasing, innovative, and tasty. We sat outside, and it was a nice calm atmosphere. Overall great experience.
Loved this place - normally it’s packed for brunch but for dinner it was the perfect crowd. It was super cozy, perfect for a date night or for taking visitors out to dinner. I tried a cocktail and the burger - both great, especially the burger. The fries that came with the burger was amazingly seasoned with Parmesan and herb seasoning. Overall great service, would definitely go back!
The waitress was very nice and funny, the meal tasted like home-cooked and the upstairs dining room looks like a French country house. Very nice!
