Contemporary American, Bar, Breakfast & Brunch
627 S 3rd St Philadelphia, PA 19147
"In November of 2011, chef Jason Cichonski opened Ela, an inventive new American bar and restaurant in Philadelphia’s Queen Village neighborhood. Ela showcases Cichonski, who Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig LaBan called “one of our most exciting young chefs,” is combining an approachable menu of innovative dishes with an extensive wine and craft beer program and inspired cocktail list in a rustic-modern setting.
“Creatively, it’s wonderfully freeing to prepare food that doesn’t fit into any one genre or style; this is seasonal food, using exceptional ingredients, prepared perfectly,” says Chef Cichonski. Ela is a serious-yet-comfortable restaurant with a menu that that changes frequently throughout the year, to reflect the latest offerings."

Great little spot for brunch including byo champagne for mimosas and bottomless chicken and waffles. Smaller menu showcases unique variety of dishes. Also offers happy hour and dinner
My boyfriend and I went to Ela and both ordered the bottomless chicken and waffle. The chicken was really crispy and seasoned well. The waffles were yummy - they were light and fluffy and broke apart really easily. I wish the chicken was white meat, not huge on dark meat but overall I left satisfied. I left there feeling soooo full.
Ela was a great little place. Food was really good, especially the sausage and biscuits! Get the bottomless chicken and waffles if you are hungry! I would love to try some of the drinks here...will probably go back for dinner.
