"Clancey, located on the Lower East Side and specializing in modern comfort food, is a 70-seat restaurant from Todd Birnbaum, who owned Pinch (Pizza by the Inch), and Paige Hospitality Group Managing Partner Dennis Bogart. Clancey features dishes such as "Yesterday Lo Mein," "Something Wrapped in Bacon on a Toothpick," and "The Best Chicken Sate You Ever Ate". Our entrees include an herb roasted chicken with warm corn salad, a truffle grilled cheese with asparagus and egg, and a market fish. The beverage program has a rotating selection of specialty craft beers for sampling, and cocktails such as a Napalm in the Morning, Pedro Martinez and our Frozen Moscow Mule."

CLANCEY IS FANTASTIC! Went with my girl friend and was very pleased. The atmosphere is outstanding. Cool American art and great music inside. A bit loud but it’s perfect for brunch in medium sized or small groups. The cocktails don’t have as much alcohol as they should and are a bit small but hey, maybe that’s a good thing. I had the truffle grilled cheese sandwich, friend chicken and challah French toast, the coffee cream cocktail, and the Brussel sprouts. All amazing, especially the grilled cheese. The service is decent, presentation of food is brilliant, and the prices are fair for New York City. I recommend you try this place out. It’s a hidden gem in lower east side, which is a hot spot for golden food.
Food and service were all really good. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Atmosphere was good and intimate at the same time spacious. Doesn’t get busy till around 9-10pm, which can be a good or bad depending on what you’re looking for. My party of 5 got there around 7pm, there was only 1 other table except for us but we enjoyed it because there was no wait and ambient noise was low enough we can hear each other talk. Pretty easy location to get to (right off the F train on the Delaney stop). Prices and serving portions are also reasonable. Great place for small and large parties up to 6-8 I’d say. Would come back again!
I ordered the BLT & The Clancey Wake Up Call for brunch. It was sooooo good. And all the bartenders / servers were sooo nice. I’m definitely coming back here!
