"Located along the famous Manayunk Canal, Bourbon Blue offers the best in American Cuisine with New Orleans fusion. The inside evokes images of French Quarter dining; original 1800s woodwork, vaulted ceilings, & the stunning, stately features of exposed stone walls colored with terra cotta. Outside, the recent addition of an open air deck with seating for 50, complete with wrought iron railings, elicits a southern bistro feel – full of hospitality & warmth. The atmosphere, however, is just the beginning. With Chef/Owner Brendan McGrew at the helm, the dining experience presents comforting NOLA Cuisine blended with American Classics for an evening filled with possibilities; one that will tempt your taste buds & please your palate. After dinner enjoy the live music, offered five times a week, featuring various local artist/acts. If you’re interested in brunch, Bourbon Blue offers a Bloody Mary Bar & a brunch/lunch menu sure to impress every Saturday & Sunday."

My date and I both got the Southwestern Chicken wrap, which was enjoyable. We started out with an appetizer of fried pickles which was outstanding. We finished the meal listening to a live guitar player/singer (who is apparently frequently performing in the restaurant) and ordered cocktails. All in all a good time!
Unfortunately the restaurant was hot as they were having trouble with their air conditioner. Our server got our appetizer order wrong and was also slow with getting our drinks. She could have been more friendly. I don’t mean she has to be telling jokes and happy go lucky but her attitude could have been warmer (like the restaurant was). I’ve been a waitress and on a scale from 1 to 10 she was a 6. The only saving grace was the food it was very good.
