"New Yorkers Billy Gilroy (Employees Only, Macao Trading Co., Lucky Strike, Match), Patrick Fahey (Macao Trading Co., Naked Lunch, Peggy Sue’s), and Vincent Vitek (principal bartender Employees Only) have teamed up to commandeer the corner of Church and Walker in Tribeca with Belle Reve. A much needed neighborhood joint with easy food all day and boozy soirées.
The vibe is comfortable and the design comprised of cool, eclectic collectibles, art, and music that you’d find walking in the living rooms of New Yorkers with lifetimes of tales to tell. In this day of hyper-conceptualized restaurants, the 3 have boiled down their combined century of experience in the hospitality business to “Make yourself at home.”

With no "A" tables and egomania, narcissism and snobbery is neither encouraged nor tolerated. Belle Reve is a port of call for friends & families to enjoy quality meals, a simple soup & sandwich, or as the sun sets to knock back pints, sip a whiskey, and join in songs.

Belle Reve is a place to find a friend, connect in conversation, relax and feel you are part of a community."

I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup and some Narragansett beers. The food was great, but the waitress was too overly attentive. She kept coming up to the table about every 3 minutes to see if we were ready to order.

Stopped in for a bite and a drink before heading to the airport on a Sunday night, and it was awesome! Super cool vibe- dimly lit, lots of great decor to look at, oldies playing (my fav), attentive & friendly service and to top it off- awesome food & bev! The old fashion was great and the Pumpkin seed based veggie burger was one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. Tons of flavor and perfect texture. This is a gem for any one looking for a low key spot that still has character in Lower Manhattan.

This place is very much a bar rather than a restaurant, that being said the burgers were great! Live music at 10pm on Tuesday. One large tound table and some smaller tables for parties of 2 or 4 but it's better suited for bar stool seating if you are only having drinks
