"The sibling to Bergamot in Inman Square, BISq is a restaurant and wine bar serving inventive American small plates. The sleek, dark wood finishing and wine-bottle decor create an intimate, cozy and modern atmosphere.
The space features an open kitchen lead by Chef Alex Saenz with a fun and entertained marble kitchen counter and a bar serving a French-focused wine program, along with a variety of craft beer offerings.
BISq was mentioned as "New and Noteworthy" and recognized by Wine Enthusiast Magazine as one of America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants for 2016. Is the ideal place for guests looking for a thoughtful and creative food and wine experience."

Was very empty for 745 on a weeknight. We were 1 of 3 parties in the restaurant. Meals were very very small compared to regular tapas. Service was quick, however.
This place is really cool. Good for dates but also for larger groups. Lots of smaller plates so you can share. Definitely some interesting offerings here.
Dining at BISq was a wonderful and memorable experience. The ambiance was cozy but sophisticated, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.
The best part, tho, was the food. We ordered 5 small plates to share between two of us, and every single one was DELICIOUS. First came the hummus with chicken skin chips (so creative and indulgently tasty!), followed by the bass ceviche with avocado (great fish with a really pleasant but subtle limey taste). Next was the mushrooms in a "pomme puree" (a soupy mashed potato with delicious mushrooms -- we inhaled it, it was so good!). Our next small course was the bone marrow risotto. We were not disappointed -- the risotto was perfectly cooked, a little cheesy, and presented in a VERY unique way! Finally, we finished with a brioche toast with ricotta cheese and honey. A little sweet -- almost desert-like -- and truly delicious. (I keep saying delicious, but I'm struggling to find a better word!)
We also loved that we could find a wine we loved from their nicely organized wine list, and that we stayed very hydrated due to attentive water refills! We can't wait to go back and try more of their unique dishes -- particularly the fried chicken which looked and smelled amazing at the table next to us!
Highly recommend BISq for an all-around great dining experience.
